[installation with performative participation of the artist]
The room with one entrance. Outside the room, at different heights, there are hanging objects with the shape resembling tears/drops. The objects are soft, filled with red liquid, spring back when one touches them. The strings, on which they are hooked, are coming from the holes in the walls. The incoming people do not see with what/whom the red objects are connected. In order to get to the entrance of the room, they must chafe, touch, and set the objects in motion. Inside the room there is a woman facing the wall from which the strings are coming out. The strings converge on the hook, which is held by the skin of a woman. The pierced skin stretches under the weight of the objects. The vibrations caused by the presence of people outside, move along the strings and are experienced by a woman. In the room there is a single light source – a very strong bulb that runs on a photo-cell. It turns off when there is nobody in the room or the people present here do not move, it shines at the moment of the recipient appearance. The woman endures focused and silent, she seems to be absent.
The fact of strong interactions between human beings and the hard personal experiences have become for me the foundation to carry out the Message action. Navigating among the living and sentient creatures requires sensitivity and empathy. Often, we do not see, do not assume that "at the end of string" there is a wound, a sore point of the living entity. Often we do not want to be aware of it. We play with situations, we do “touch because of curiosity”, not realizing about the consequences, which we are maybe not witnessing. I am undergoing an operation of my own body violation in order to expand my perception, became hyper-sensitive to the point where borders of my body/my ego are disappearing. I am becoming everything that is around, I am losing myself to get rid of the pain. I am keeping the weight by the tension and the relaxation in tension. The vibrations are transferred along the strings, which resembles the primitive systems for the transmission of information at a distance.
